Jason Wagg

National General Manager – AMS (Axis Maintenance Services) and ACS (Axis Consulting Services)

Jason joined the Axis Group in 2013 as the Group Commercial Manager and an Executive Board Member.

Jason has over 20 years experience in the Building Services Industry.

He began his career in 1992 as a Civil Engineer working for a Canberra, ACT based civil/building contractor.

He has owned and operated his own business and has held Senior Management Positions within a Global USA Incorporated Mechanical Manufacturing/Services Company and prior to joining the Axis Group held the position of Managing Director – Africa.

Chris Hardy

WA Service Manager

Chris is a skilled and experienced 36-year-old plumbing and heating engineer, originally trained in the UK. With an impressive 20+ years’ experience in the plumbing and gas sector, he exemplifies a wealth of practical knowledge and expertise. In 2021, Chris embarked on an adventurous chapter, relocating to Australia alongside his wife and young family. Joining Axis as a dedicated technician, he swiftly climbed the ranks, assuming the role of State Supervisor at the beginning of 2023, and subsequently taking on the esteemed position of State Manager just seven months later.

Beyond his professional commitments, Chris is an avid sports enthusiast, dedicating his weekends to serving as a voluntary lifeguard and nippers age group manager at his local surf lifesaving club. This dual commitment showcases his unwavering dedication to both his community and his passion for ensuring the safety and well-being of others.

Ray Solagna

Ray Solagna is a highly skilled and accomplished professional in the plumbing and maintenance industry. He joined Axis Services Group in 2012 as a commercial plumber and quickly demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities. As a result, Ray was promoted to the position of Site Foreman in 2015, where he successfully managed and delivered various projects.

In 2017, Ray’s problem-solving abilities and expertise led him to take on the role of Project Manager, where he further refined his skills and achieved remarkable results. Recognizing his potential to excel in a different capacity, Ray joined the Axis Maintenance division in 2019. Currently, he serves as the NSW & ACT State Manager for Axis Maintenance Services.

With his extensive experience and industry knowledge, Ray is dedicated to providing clients with excellent plumbing maintenance services across all commercial sectors. He places great emphasis on building strong, long-lasting relationships within the industry and prioritizes client satisfaction. Ray’s decade-long expertise in his previous roles showcases his commitment to innovation within the maintenance sector. He continuously seeks opportunities for self-improvement and innovation in the industry to ensure the highest level of service for the clients.

Rhiannon Prattent

Rhiannon became an integral part of Axis Maintenance Services in 2015, assuming the role of National Service Administrator. Over the course of the last eight years, she has actively contributed to the Accounts Payable and Receivable teams.

Drawing upon her extensive experience within the organization, Rhiannon’s dedication and skillset led to her elevation to the position of National Administration Manager in 2020. Under her leadership, the administration team expanded to include 10 personnel and she has played a pivotal role in continuously enhancing the day to day processes and systems.

Anthony Hayman

Anthony Hayman joined the Axis Services Group in 2024 as ACT General Manager.

 

Rob Pavan

General Manager – Axis Services VIC

With over 30 years’ experience in the construction industry I have gained considerable experience in all facets of management including management of human resources, industrial relations and legal compliance, operations, contracts, cost planning and Bid lead, finance reporting & administration, marketing and business development.

I am confident with my abilities and dedicated to my work, in particular with my ability to create sustainable long-term value in a business and its employees and with Clients.

Clint Burgess

Thailand – Axis Asia QS – Operating Manager

Clint joined the Axis Group (Axis Asia QS) in 2016 as the Electrical Support Manager, providing assistance to, and developing the Electrical Estimating Team.

Clint began his Electrical career with multinationals Siemens and Alstom working on domestic and international projects.  He later moved into Project/People Management and held senior positions within a national Electrical Engineering company delivering key projects.

Wut Saisoot

Thailand – Axis Asia QS – Estimating Manager

When the Axis Group expanded its estimating capabilities in 2010, Wut was one of the first to be employed by Axis Asia QS.  Wut quickly moved from an estimator into a supervisory role and more recently the Estimating Manager.

Wut has over 20 years of experience in the MEP Construction and Service industry and began his career in 1996 as a Mechanical/Project Engineer for Thai-Japanese contractor MES Pro.

Jesse Stillwell

Thailand – Axis Asia QS – BIM Manager & Modeling Team Supervisor

Jesse joined the Axis Group in 2016 as a Communications Manager, providing assistance and developing the Hydraulic Estimating Team and the Construction Support Team.

In 2018 he moved onto become the BIM Manager and Supervisor to develop the Hydraulic Modeling team in Thailand.

Jesse began his career in 2010 as a construction foreman, he later moved into a CAD Management position to utilize his knowledge of BIM and CAD within the construction industry.

He has owned and operated computer information technology businesses and held various management positions.

Reece Gillespie

Construction Manager – Axis Services VIC

Reece joined the Axis Plumbing NSW team in 2007 as an Estimator. He was promoted to Project Manager end 2008 and relocated to Victoria in 2009 as Construction Manager, where he spent 4 years developing the business and undertaking large scale projects such as the Victorian Desalination Plant.

Reece returned to the NSW business in 2012 as a Project Manager and over the past 8 years has worked within multiple sectors of the industry on projects including Charles Perkins Centre (University of Sydney) and the Norwest Rapid Transit (NRT) project which is the first stage of Sydney Metro – Australia’s biggest public transport project and a priority infrastructure investment for the NSW Government.

In 2019 Reece accepted the Construction Manager’s roll with Axis Services VIC. Reece has 18 years’ experience within the VIC/NSW commercial plumbing industry.

Lucas Furtado

National BIM Manager – ACS NSW

Lucas has a range of national and international project experience which comprises of complex civil/hydraulic projects within the Commercial, Health, Transport and Resort industry.

Adding to his skills in  strategy and development, project management, BIM modelling, hydraulic design and modelling of fire protection. Lucas has the capability and knowledge to design and deliver large scale BIM projects directly with Autodesk REVIT program, also he is responsible for the coordination of all hydraulic designs and its coordination with mechanical, electrical, fire, structural and civil elements.

Ian Murray

Schematic Design Manager – ACS NSW

Ian is a professional hydraulic designer and project manager specialising in the engineering of pumping and pipeline systems in all industries. His career spans more than four decades in Australia and S-E Asia on major defence. building, mining, and infrastructure projects. These projects have been for the owners, consultants, EPCM contractors and public authorities.

Ian engineering knowledge and experience on major infrastructure and heavy engineering projects is valuable in that key outcomes of a project are recognised, and this has saved the Client several million dollars in CAPEX and OPEX costs

Ian has a deep interest in engineering and the delivery of a project to bring quality to the end user. This is extended to providing mentoring to other engineers in the skills.  He is often called upon to peer review designs and value engineering cost saving.

Anthony Reid

Anthony joined Axis Plumbing ACT in 2009 as a Welding Technician. In 2010 Anthony was promoted to Project Manager – ACT and in 2014 accepted the position of NSW Services Manager.

Anthony has 15 years’ experience within the construction industry and prior to joining Axis Services Group spent 6 years in the Fabrication industry and completed is Cert IV Light Fabrication and Engineering.

Sarah Fritchley

Sarah started with Axis Maintenance Services in 2015 as a National Service Administrator and was promoted to National Office Manager in 2017. Sarah works within our Sydney office where she oversees the ins and outs of our National Service Team. She has been working in the Service and Maintenance industry for 9 yrs and has attributed to the implementation and management of our service delivery program AroFlo, which provides Live Job Data allowing us to provide our clients with up to date information on their jobs.

Tim Plimmer

Tim Joined Axis Maintenance Services Queensland in 2015.

Tim has always been around the Plumbing industry, growing up the son of a Plumber in Wellington New Zealand he followed in his Dad’s footsteps and  started his Training in the as an apprentice Plumber, Gasfitter and Drainlayer in 1998. During all these years in the industry he has gain plenty of experience and worked on a wide range of projects and aspects of the industry and had the opportunity to work in New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom.

Through his Plumbing knowledge, relationships built and experience in the delivery of Facilities Maintenance to different sectors allows our team to effectively provide a professional and efficient service to Axis Maintenance Services Clients throughout Queensland.

Adam Wright

Adam was appointed General Manager of Axis Plumbing in 2012.

Adam joined the Axis Group in 2008 as the Operations Manager of Axis Plumbing QLD, in 2010 Adam was appointed as the General Manager of Axis Plumbing WA.

Adam has more than 25 years experience in the plumbing industry and is a skilled estimator, manager and problem-solver.

Adam’s experience spans commercial and civil hydraulics, and more recently the construction of the Ichthys on-shore LNG facility in Darwin, NT.

Matthew Sando

Matthew Joined the Axis Services Group in 2021 as South Australian General Manager.

Matthew provides over 30 years’ experience in delivering Major Construction Projects.

With extensive experience in Construction & Project Management he provides a wealth of Technical & Business knowledge.

Some highlight projects Matthew has worked on in Adelaide include. The Adelaide Oval Redevelopment, Adelaide Medical and Nursing School and GPO Exchange Building (6 star Greenstar, 5 star NABERS Rating & Gold Well Certification)

Christian De Bakker

Christian joined Axis Plumbing NSW Group in 2007 as an Estimator. In 2009 Christian was promoted to Project Manager for Small Works and has since progressed to State Manger within Small Works in 2012.

Christian has spent the last 20 years in construction in various rolls across multiple projects within NSW and QLD in this time in commercial refurbishment and new build projects.

Andre Oosthuyzen

General Manager Axis Plumbing NZ

Andre joined Axis Plumbing NZ as General Manager in 2017.
Andre has 25 year experience within the construction industry focusing on Project Management within the HVAC and mechanical markets.

Clem Morfuni

Clem founded the Axis Group in 1994 in Sydney NSW, Australia.

Clem started his career in the construction industry as an apprentice plumber in 1986. During his career he has been involved in all aspects of the plumbing & construction industry, he has held positions from Plumber to Project Manager to General Manager was able to utilise all of this experience to start and continue to grow the business.

His dedication, drive and motivation has seen the business expand and grow throughout Australia, New Zealand, Thailand and New York City – USA.

Patrick O’Brien

Group Estimating Manager

Patrick joined the Axis Group in 2008 as the Group Estimating Manager.

Patrick is involved in all large scale tenders & interacts with the senior management group as well as Regional General and Project Managers.

Patrick started his career in the construction industry as an apprentice plumber in 1989. Patrick is a licensed plumber Drainer and Gas Fitter. During his 26 year career, Patrick has been involved in all aspects of the plumbing & construction industry, he has held positions from plumber to project manager to general manager and is able to utilise all of this experience in his current role as Group Estimating Manager.

Michelle Stanford

Group HR Manager

Michelle joined the Axis Group in 2007 as the Group HR Manager.

Michelle has over 14 years experience in Human Resource Management including payroll and workers compensation.  Michelle actively works with our Group EHS Manager as the Return to Work Coordinator in NSW.

Frank O’Dowd

General Manager – Axis Plumbing WA

Frank joined Axis Services Group WA in 2012 as a Plumbing Supervisor.

In 2014 Frank was promoted to the position of Construction Project Manager and in this role, he has overseen and successfully delivered some or Western Australia’s most iconic tier one construction projects.

In 2021 Frank was appointed General Manager – WA and currently holds this position.

With over 24 years’ experience in Construction & Project Management, Frank brings a wealth of technical and industry knowledge to the business

James Stavroulakis

Group Finance Manager/Executive Board Member

James joined the Axis Group in 2009 as the Group Finance Manager and an Executive Board Member.

James is responsible for the accounting and finance functions for the Axis Group. He is a qualified CPA and has over 20 years financial experience and held a number of Finance Management roles before joining the Axis Group.

George Spyropoulos

Group General Manager

George joined the Axis Group in 1996, beginning a strong business association with Clem Morfuni and this proved to be the nucleus from which the business has been able to expand and grow throughout Australia, New Zealand, Thailand and New York City – USA.

George has over 25 years of experience in the Building Services Industry.

George started his career in the construction industry as an apprentice plumber in 1988. George is a Licensed Plumber Drainer and Gas Fitter. During his career he has been involved in all aspects of the plumbing & construction industry, he has held positions from Plumber to Project Manager to General Manager and is able to utilise all of this experience in his current role as Group General Manager.

Steve Marino

President – Axis Mechanical of New York

Steve joined Axis Group in April of 2014 and has spear headed Axis entry into the NYC Mechanical market.

Steve is an experienced President/General Manager who has overseen Sales, Service and Installation divisions of leading Mechanical companies and Manufacturers in the NYC Metropolitan Area.

His leadership and experience in both Office and Field management has lead Axis to a seamless entry into the NYC Mechanical market.

Steve Young

Operations Manager – Axis Services VIC

Steve joined Axis Plumbing in 2013 as the General Manager of Axis Services VIC.
Steve commenced in the construction industry in 1987 and is a qualified plumber. During his career Steve has held various positions including owning and operating a commercial hydraulics business for a period of 9 years.

Robert Elliott

General Manager – Axis Plumbing NSW Group

Robert joined Axis Plumbing NSW Group in 2003 as a Project Manager. In 2007 Robert was promoted to Operations Manager – NSW and in 2009 accepted the position of General Manager – NSW.

Robert has 28 years experience within the construction industry and prior to joining Axis Plumbing NSW Group spent 7 years in design and 6 years in project management.
